Caddis flies are present on most waters, still or flowing. As larvae they live on the bottom and build a protective shell of detritus including stones, wood and vegetation matter leaving a hole at the end for the head.

The body of this pattern is woven using an overhand knot weave, alternating between two pairs of contrasting marabou floss or similar thread.
